SPINACH STYLE GREEN BEANS 
2 slices bacon
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
1 1/2 tbsp. corn starch
1 (16 oz.) can green beans, drained
1 tsp. sugar
Dash of pepper

Cut bacon into 1-inch pieces; place in 1-quart microwave safe casserole. Add onion. Cover with paper towel. Microwave (high) 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes or until onion is tender. Drain. Stir in liquid from tomatoes, draining well. Add green pepper and corn starch; mix well.

Microwave (high) uncovered, 3 to 3 1/2 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens, stirring once. Stir in tomatoes (cut into pieces), beans, sugar, and pepper. Microwave (high), uncovered, 5 to 6 minutes or until heated through.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
