GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE 
4 strips bacon
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
1/8 tsp. pepper
Two 16 oz. cans green beans, drained
1/2 c. onion, chopped
2 tbsp. bacon drippings
1/4 tsp. salt
8 oz. shredded American cheese
1 c. chopped celery
10 1/2 oz. can tomatoes, cut and drained

Cook bacon in microwave until crisp. Drain bacon, reserving 2 tablespoons fat. Crumble bacon; set aside. Microwave onion, celery and green pepper in 2 tablespoons reserved bacon drippings on high for 4 minutes in a 4 cup measure. Stir in tomatoes, salt and pepper. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. Stir in cheese. Place drained beans in casserole dish; top with sauce and crumbled bacon. Cover with waxed paper; microwave on medium for 15 minutes, rotating dish once while cooking. Serves 8-10.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
