RAISIN-BRAN MUFFINS 
1 c. shreds of wheat bran cereal
2/3 c. milk
2/3 c. Gold Medal all purpose flour
1/2 c. raisins
1/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg

1. Heat the oven to 400 degrees. Grease bottoms only of 8 medium muffin cups, 2 1/2" x 1 1/4" or line with paper baking cups.

2. Mix cereal and milk in a medium bowl; let stand until cereal is slightly softened.

3. Stir in remaining ingredients just until flour is moistened (batter will be lumpy). Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.

4. Bake until a wooden pick inserted in the center of muffins comes out clean, 18 to 20 minutes. Immediately remove from pan. Makes 8 muffins.
