ELISES COCOA CAKE 
2 1/4 c. flour
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 3/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening (butter flavor Crisco)
1 1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, unbeaten
1/2 c. cocoa

Cream shortening, add dry ingredients. Add 1 cup milk and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Add eggs and rest of milk. Beat 1 more minute. Pour into tube pan that has been greased. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

ICING:

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. butter

Combine in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Stir 1 to 2 minutes. Beat until thickens.
