ANITA (OUELLETTE) BLEEM'S PLUM
CAKE
 
1 1/2 c. fresh plums
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. butter
1 c. honey
3 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. sea salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. dates, chopped

Put fresh plums, dates in bowl with baking soda and boiling water. Let cool. In another bowl, cream butter with honey. Add well beaten eggs. Add plum-date mixture. Mix well. Add vanilla, flour, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Fold in. Bake in an oiled, floured Bundt pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Rich and moist.
