OLD FASHIONED CABBAGE 
1 lg. head cabbage
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
15 oz. can tomato sauce
8 oz. can whole tomatoes
1 c. herb seasoned stuffing mix
1 med. onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 1/4 tsp. salt
Grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 c. water

Cut slice from top to bottom of cabbage; cut out inside of cabbage leaving 3/4 inch shell. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Cook and stir ground beef in 10 inch skillet over medium high heat until light brown; drain. Stir in 1/2 cup tomato sauce, tomatoes with liquid, stuffing mix, onion, garlic and salt. Break up tomatoes with fork. Fill cabbage shell with beef mixture; place in Dutch oven. Mix remaining tomato sauce and water; pour into Dutch oven around cabbage. Cover and bake until cabbage is tender, about 45 minutes. Remove cabbage from Dutch oven; cut into 6 wedges. Spoon hot tomato sauce over wedges; sprinkle with cheese. 6 servings.
