PORK CHOPS ITALIANO 
6 pork chops (cut 3/4-inch thick)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 can condensed cheese soup
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. oregano
a few drops hot pepper sauce
3 c. wide noodles (about 6 oz.), cooked and drained
3 slices Mozzarella cheese (3 oz.), halved

Brown the chops in a small amount of hot fat. Drain off fat and sprinkle the chops with salt and pepper. Combine cheese soup, tomato paste, water, basil, oregano and hot pepper sauce. Pour over the chops. Cover and simmer 40 minutes or until chops are tender. Stir in cooked noodles; cover and cook 5 minutes longer or until heated through. Before serving, top each chop with a half slice of cheese.

Serves 6.
