1 c. shortening
3 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. mincemeat

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Add mincemeat and mix well. Sift flour, soda and salt together. Add batter, drop by teaspoon 2 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 4 dozen.
