MINCEMEAT DROP COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 well beaten eggs
3 c. enriched flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 (9 oz.) pkg. mincemeat
3 tbsp. water
1 c. broken nuts

Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add half of sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Add finely crumbled mincemeat and water. Stir until blended. Add nuts and remaining flour mixture. Mix well. Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 10 to 15 minutes.

NOTE: 1 cup canned mincemeat may be used.
