MINCEMEAT DROP COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 well beaten eggs
3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 (9 oz.) pkg. mincemeat
3 tbsp. water
1 c. broken nuts (I use pecans)

Thoroughly cream sugar and shortening; add eggs and beat well; add one half sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Add finely crumbled mincemeat and water; stir until blended. Add nuts and remaining flour mixture, mix well.

Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) 10-15 minutes. 1 cup canned mincemeat may be used. Makes 4 dozen cookies.
