PINEAPPLE APPLE COOKIES 
1 c. shortening (or use butter)
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineappletsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (opt.)
1 c. chopped nuts (opt.)

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs; cream well. Add pineapple and juice. Add vanilla, sift dry ingredients and add to above mixture. Add nuts, drop by teaspoonful on greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
