STRAWBERRY PRETZEL DESSERT 
2 c. crushed pretzels (not too fine)
3 tbsp. sugar
3/4 c. butter
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
8 oz. carton Cool Whip
6 oz. pkg. strawberry Jello
2 c. boiling water
2 c. fresh strawberries
1 c. sugar

Mix pretzels, 3 tablespoons sugar, and butter together. Press into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 425 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool.

Cream together 1 cup sugar and cream cheese. Add Cool Whip. Spread mixture over cooled pretzel layer.

Pour desired amount of sugar over fresh strawberries in a bowl. Let stand until juicy. Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Cool slightly, then stir in strawberries and juice. Pour over cream cheese layer.

Chill for 4 to 6 hours.
