CONGO BARS 
1 stick butter
1 box light brown sugar
3 eggs
2 3/4 c. self-rising flour
1 c. nuts
1 c. chocolate chips (imitation can be used)

Blend: cream butter, sugar, eggs and flour. Add nuts and chocolate chips. Grease and flour pan, long enamel or pyrex pan. Bake 25-30 minutes at 325 degrees.

Sometimes takes 35 minutes. Bars will leave pan but do not overcook as they will be dry, they should be moist. Cut into squares. Makes 40-45 bars.
