DOUBLE CHOCOLATE OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1 c. quick oatmeal
2 tbsp. Dutch cocoa
3/4 tsp. baking soda
3/4 c. (1 1/2 sticks) butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. chocolate chips
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease cookie sheets. Stir together flour, oatmeal, cocoa, and baking soda in a bowl. Beat together butter, sugar and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen.
