DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
1 3/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. dark brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
2 tbsp. milk
1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1 c. chocolate chips

Combine flour and baking soda. Set aside. Using electric mixer, cream butter and sugars. Add vanilla; beat until fluffy. Add eggs. At low speed, beat in cocoa, then milk. With wooden spoon, mix in dry ingredients, just until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto non- stick pan or foil-lined pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-13 minutes. Remove from oven and cool slightly before removing from baking sheets. Makes 3 dozen cookies.
