BAKED APPLES IN BUTTERSCOTCH
SAUCE
 
3 med. cooking apples
1/2 tbsp. flour
1 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. water
Cinnamon

Cut apples in half lengthwise; remove core, but do not peel. Arrange cut-side- up in 8-inch round glass baking dish. Cover with waxed paper or casserole cover. Microwave 2 to 3 minutes or until apples are just about tender.

Combine brown sugar, flour and water; spoon over apples. Dot with butter; sprinkle with cinnamon. Microwave, covered, 2 to 3 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and apples are tender. Serve warm with sauce. Makes 4 to 6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
