RAINBOW SALAD 
1 pt. vanilla ice cream
6 (3 oz.) pkgs. different flavored Jello

STEP 1: Dissolve 1 package Jello in 1 cup boiling water. Add 1/2 cup cold water to 1/2 mixture. Pour into 9 x 13 inch glass dish. Refrigerate to set.

STEP 2: Take 2 heaping tablespoons vanilla ice cream and set in a dish to melt. Add this to remaining half of Jello mixture and mix. Repeat with other packages, making 12 layers of different flavors or until dish is filled. Cut into squares or slices to serve.

Lime Jello is suggested for the first layer. Five different flavors of Jello may be used to form 10 layers in a smaller dish. Very interesting and attractive. Worth the effort for a special occasion.
