CHOCOLATE WONDER CAKE | |
1 1/2 c. sifted flour 1 c. sugar 1 c. water 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tsp. baking soda 3 tbsp. cocoa 6 tbsp. liquid Crisco 1 tsp. vanilla Sift together all ingredients. Place in 8" or 9" cake pan (greased and floured). Bake in 350 degree oven for 1/2 hour. FROSTING: 1 c. confectioners' sugar 1 tbsp. Crisco 1 tbsp. cocoa 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. boiling water Mix together. FROSTING - GERMAN: 1/4 c. melted butter 2/3 c. packed brown sugar 3 tbsp. milk 1 c. coconut 1/2 c. nuts Mix together and spread over top of cake. Broil until melted. |
