CHOCOLATE POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
3 c. cake flour
5 eggs
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 1/4 c. sweet milk

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar.

Sift dry ingredients together. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately, beating constantly. Add eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla.

Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 25 minutes at 300 degrees.

REAL FUDGE ICING:

2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. sweet milk
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
