CHILI-CORNBREAD PIE 
1 tbsp. fat
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 1/2 lbs. chopped beef
1 (#303) can tomatoes
2 c. cooked kidney beans
2 tbsp. chili powder
2 tbsp. salt
Cornbread batter made from cornbread recipe

1. Cook onion in fat until soft, add meat, crumble with fork and brown.

2. Place meat and onion in baking dish. Add tomatoes, beans, chili powder, salt.

3. Mix well.

4. Pour cornbread batter on top.

5. Smooth out to cover top of casserole.

6. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 4 to 6.
