TOLL HOUSE BROWNIES 
3/4 c. flour
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 eggs
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
2 tbsp. water
3/4 c. sugar

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine flour, soda, salt. In saucepan combine sugar, butter and water and bring just to a boil. Remove from heat. Add 1 cup chips, stir until smooth. Transfer mixture to large mixing bowl.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in remaining 1 cup chips and nuts. Spread into 9-inch square baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cool completely. Cut into 2 1/4 inch squares. Makes 16 brownies.
