HOLIDAY POUND CAKE 
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
Speck of salt
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. chopped cherries
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Using electric mixer. Cream together butter and sugar; add eggs, one at a time; mix. Add cream cheese and cream together. Add vanilla. Add dry ingredients to mixture. Beat by hand until mixture is well blended. Grease and flour lightly loaf pans. Fill pans with batter a little more than half full. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Batter enough for 3 small loaf pans, 2 medium loaf pans or 1 large loaf pan. Small loaves are nice as Christmas gifts.
