BAMMIE'S POSS-A-TAY (PASATELLE) | |
2 boxes bread crumbs (15 oz. each) 8 oz. grated cheese (can use a little more) Rind from one good sized lemon 1 doz. eggs 1 tsp. nutmeg Pepper to taste Mix all these ingredients together, good. Then knead it to form a ball. Cut ball of mixture into pieces and put each piece through the meat grinder, using the attachment with the round holes in it. As poss-a-tay comes out of grinder - cut every 3 inches or so and spread out on a cookie sheet. Drop these into a large pot of chicken or beef soup and bring to a boil - let simmer for a few minutes. We like it hot, so we use 2 tablespoons of pepper. Recipe may be cut in half for smaller pot of soup. Ummm! Ummm! Good! |
