BANANA BAR 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
3 ripe mashed bananas
2 scant c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter, sugar and eggs, add bananas. Then add buttermilk and remaining ingredients. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured large cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool. Frost if desired.

FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Boil sugar, butter and milk for 30 seconds. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Beat until lukewarm, adding vanilla while beating.
