7 MINUTE STRAWBERRY PRESERVES | |
3 pints strawberries 1/3 c. sugar 3 tbsp. lemon juice 2 1/2 c. sugar Wash strawberries thoroughly, hull and leave whole. Place in saucepan. Sift the 1/3 cup sugar over strawberries, add lemon juice and let set overnight. Next morning add 2 1/2 cups sugar. Heat to boiling, then boil 7 minutes (counting from the time boiling starts). Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal. Makes 1 1/2 pints. |
