BLOND BROWNIES 
2/3 c. butter
1 lb. brown sugar (1 box or 2 2/3 c.)
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts, optional
1 c. chocolate chips, optional

Melt butter and brown sugar in medium-size saucepan over low heat, stirring to just get all the sugar wet with melted butter. Stir in 1 egg at a time. Add flour, baking powder, salt, nuts and chips; mixing well.

Pour into about a 13 1/2 x 8 1/2 inch pan that has been sprayed with non-stick vegetable coating or greased and floured. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
