DOUBLE DECKER BROWNIES 
BROWNIES:

2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. softened butter
2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs
1 c. chopped nuts
6 tbsp. cocoa

CHOCOLATE FROSTING:

1/4 c. melted butter
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 c. confectioners' sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. milk

BROWNIES: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.

In a large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract; beat until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in nuts. Divide batter in half. Blend cocoa with one half.

Spread chocolate batter into well-greased and floured 9x13 inch baking pan. Spread plain batter evenly over chocolate layer. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool completely. Spread with Chocolate Frosting. Makes 24 (2 inch) squares.

FROSTING: In a small bowl, combine butter, cocoa, and vanilla extract; mix well. Blend in confectioners' sugar alternately with milk. Beat until smooth.
