BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla; add combined dry ingredients alternately with 1 cup buttermilk, mixing well after each addition. Pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube or fluted tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 5 minutes or until done. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan; cool. Glaze with vanilla glaze.

VANILLA GLAZE:

1 c. confectioners sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1-2 tbsp. milk

Combine and mix.
