UNSTUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS 
1/2 c. rice
3 slices bacon
1 med. onion, chopped
1 med. green pepper, chopped fine
3/4 lb. hamburger
1 can crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1 med. cabbage, chopped
Thyme

Cook rice until done. Fry bacon and save grease (1 tablespoon). Use bacon drippings to cook onion, green pepper and hamburger. Add bacon, tomatoes and brown sugar, vinegar, dash salt, pepper and thyme. Chop head of cabbage finely. Layer alternately cabbage, meat mixture and rice. End with sauce. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
