PLUM NUT BREAD | |
1 c. butter 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 4 eggs 3 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cream of tartar 1/2 tsp. baking soda 3/4 c. plain yogurt 2 tsp. grated lemon rind 2 c. diced prune plums 1 c. chopped nuts Cream butter with sugar. Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Sift flour, salt, cream of tartar and baking soda. Blend yogurt and lemon rind. Add to creamed mixture, alternating with dry ingredients. Add plums and nuts; mix well. Divide between 3 greased and floured loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes or until tests done. |
