MISSISSIPPI RIVER MUD CAKE 
2 sticks butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. plain flour
1 1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. cocoa
Dash salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream softened butter with sugar. Add cocoa and mix well. Add remaining ingredients. Bake in 9 x 13 inch greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. When cake is done, pour 1 small bag of marshmallows or spread marshmallow topping over cake an leave in oven until marshmallows are melted.

FROSTING:

1 box powdered sugar
1/3 c. cocoa
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
6 oz. cream cheese
