AMISH FRIENDSHIP BREAD 
Do not use metal spoon. Do not refrigerate. Mix together (in a bowl with a lid) 1 cup each flour, sugar, and milk.

Day 1 - The day you receive starter, do nothing.

Day 2, 3, 4 - Stir once each day with wooden spoon.

Day 5 - Add 1 cup each flour, sugar, and milk. Stir.

Day 6, 7, 8, 9 - Stir once each day with wooden spoon.

Day 10 - Add 1 cup each flour, sugar, and milk. Stir. Pour 1 cup into each of 3 containers and give to 3 friends with these instructions.

To the remaining batch, add the following: 3 eggs 1 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt

At this point you may add candied fruit or nuts or 2 diced apples or raisins and sprinkle slivered almonds on top before baking. Pour into 2 well greased and sugared loaf pans. Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
