CHEESECAKE COOKIES 
1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

FILLING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and brown sugar. Add flour and nuts; mix with fingers. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Press remaining mixture into bottom of ungreased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes.

Blend sugar and cream cheese until smooth. Add egg, milk, lemon juice and vanilla; beat well. Spread filling over baked crumb mixture and sprinkle remaining crumb mixture on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and cut into 2 inch squares.
