LEMON POPPY SEED BREAD | |
3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. milk 1 tbsp. lemon extract 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 2 eggs 1/2 c. butter, melted and cooled 1 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking soda 3 tbsp. poppy seeds Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour 4 x 7 1/2 loaf pan. Combine sugar and eggs, beat until fluffy. Beat in milk. Add butter and extract, blending well. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add to batter. Stir in poppy seeds. Bake until golden brown and tester inserted in center comes out clean, approximately 50-60 minutes. |
