PORK CHOPS IN MUSHROOM SAUCE 
6 pork chops
2 tbsp. shortening
3/4 c. milk
Bread crumbs
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. sage
1 can cream of mushroom soup

Melt shortening in electric skillet. Beat together egg and 1/4 cup milk. Dip pork chops in egg mixture, then in bread crumbs. Brown in hot skillet. Add seasonings. Mix together the mushroom soup and remaining milk and pour over the pork chops. Cook slowly, covered, for about 1 hour until meat is done.
