1 c. butter
3 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar. Add 1 egg at a time, beating well. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk and vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes in greased pan.
