MILKY WAY® CAKE | |
8 MILKY WAY® bars 2 sticks butter 2 c. sugar 4 eggs, well beaten 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 1/2 c. buttermilk 2 1/2 c. cake flour, sifted 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. vanilla 1 c. chopped nuts Melt bars over very low heat with 1 stick of butter. Cool. Cream sugar and remaining butter thoroughly. Add eggs. Dissolve soda in buttermilk. Add alternately with flour and salt. Mix thoroughly. Add vanilla, nuts and bars. Beat together well. Bake in a greased and floured 9 inch tube pan at 325 degrees for 1 hour and until done. Frost with cream cheese frosting. CREAM CHEESE FROSTING: 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese 1 box 4x powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 stick butter 1 c. pecans, chopped Cream together cream and butter. Add sugar, nuts and vanilla. Spread on cake. |
