3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. baking powder
3 c. sugar
2 sticks of butter
1 tbsp. shortening
5 eggs
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla flavor
1 tsp. almond flavor

Cream sugar, butter and shortening well. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour with baking powder. Add to butter and shortening and to egg mixture alternately with milk. Add flavor and blend well.

Grease and flour tube cake pan well. Pour in batter. Place in cold oven and set temperature at 350 degrees and bake 1 1/2 hours.
