RAISIN CREAM PIE 
1/2 c. boiling water
2 c. raisins
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. corn starch
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 tsp. lemon rind
1 baked pie shell

Pour boiling water over raisins and let stand. Mix sugar, corn starch, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, and milk and cook until thick. Remove from heat add beaten egg. Cook 3 minutes longer. Add raisins and liquid, lemon and a few drops vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Serve with whipped cream.
