ENGLISH TRIFLE 
1 pound cake, cut into 6 thick pieces
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. frozen strawberries, thawed
1 pkg. Lady Fingers
Whipped cream
Maraschino cherries

PASTRY CREAM:

5 egg yolks
2/3 c. sugar
1/3 c. flour
2 c. milk
1 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

In fancy bowl, add 1 package strawberries. Layer pound cake on top. Add another package of strawberries. Layer a row of Lady Fingers. Make pastry cream by beating egg yolks in a bowl. Add sugar and flour and beat into yolks. Heat milk in saucepan just to boiling point. Add milk slowly into yolks. Beat and cook over low heat until thick and smooth. Remove from heat. Beat in butter and vanilla. Cool before adding on top of Lady Fingers. Add whipped cream and top with cherries. 10-12 servings.
