ENGLISH TRIFLE 
Original adjusted for American use.

1 frozen pound cake (Sara Lee, other kinds too, coarse)
Frozen, sweetened raspberries or strawberries (thawed)
1 pkg. raspberry or strawberry Jello (prepare as instucted, using a little less water)
English Birds Custard dessert mix (found in larger stores) or use vanilla cooked pudding mix made as instructions say (Birds is best)
Dream or Cool Whip for topping
Sm. seasonal decorations or sprinkles (birthday, Christmas, etc.) as desired

Large or small amounts of ingredients may be used depending on size of bowl.

In decorative bowl, crumble thawed pound cake; add thawed fruit including juice to prepared Jello. Pour over crumbled cake. Place in refrigerator overnight to set.

Next day make custard or pudding according to instructions, let cool a little, then pour over Jello. Refrigerate again to set.

When ready to serve, cover with Cool or Dream Whip and decorate as desired.
