SUGAR PEANUTS (USING RAW
PEANUTS)

1 c. granulated sugar
2 c. raw shelled peanuts, skins on
1/2 c. water

Dissolve sugar in water in saucepan. (I use a cast iron fry pan over medium heat.) Put on lower heat the last few minutes or the sugar will burn in the frying pan. Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until peanuts are completely sugar coated and there is not syrup left. Pour coated peanuts onto an ungreased baking sheet. Spread to make one layer deep. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Stir occasionally to assure even cooking.
