PRETZEL SALAD | |
2 1/2 c. crushed pretzels (9 oz.) 3/4 c. butter, melted 3 tbsp. powdered sugar 8 oz. cream cheese 9 oz. Cool Whip 1 c. powdered sugar 1 egg, beaten 1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jello 2 c. boiling water 2 1/2 c. fresh strawberries, cut in halves Mix pretzels, butter and 3 tablespoons powdered sugar. Pat into 9x12 pan. Bake 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Cool. Mix together cream cheese, Cool Whip, 1 cup powdered sugar and egg. Pour over first layer. Refrigerate. Dissolve Jello in boiling water. Cool. Add strawberries. Refrigerate until it begins to thicken, then pour over second layer. Refrigerate until Jello layer is solid. Salad is ready to eat!!! Peach Jello and fresh peaches can be used instead of the strawberries. |
