EASY APPLE COBBLER | |
3 tbsp. butter for sauteing apples 2 lb. cooking apples, peeled & sliced 1/2 c. raisins, optional 1 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. pecans, optional 3/4 tbsp. pie spices 1/4 lb. melted butter 1 tsp. baking powder 1/4 c. milk 1 c. flour 1 tsp. salt Saute apples and raisins for a few minutes in 3 tablespoons butter until tender. Add 1/4 cup sugar and spices. Set aside. Pour 1/4 pound melted butter in 7 x 11 x 2 inch baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients; stir in milk. Pour batter on top of butter. Pour apples over batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Serve with a whipped cream or ice cream if desired. Serves 6-8. |
