SELF FROSTING ANISE DROPS 
1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. double action baking powder
1 tbsp. anise seed
3 eggs
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. granulated sugar

Set oven for 325 degrees. When baking have ingredients at room temperature. Sift flour, measure, sift again with baking powder. Beat eggs and sugar at medium speed for 30 minutes. At lowest speed, blend in flour and continue beating for 3 minutes. Add anise seed and stir. Drop from teaspoon onto greased and floured cookie sheets. Let stand overnight to dry. Cookies should be firm and dry to touch. Bake at 325 degrees for about 12 minutes. Recipe makes about 6-8 dozen 1 1/2 inch cookies.
