SELF-FROSTING ANISE DROPS 
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tbsp. anise seeds
3 eggs
1 c. and 2 tbsp. granulated sugar

Have ingredients at room temperature. Sift flour. Measure and sift again with baking powder. Break eggs into large bowl of electric mixer. Add sugar. Beat eggs and sugar on medium speed of mixer for 30 minutes. Add anise seed.

Drop from teaspoon onto greased and floured cookie sheets. Let stand overnight to dry. Cookies should be firm and dry to the touch. Bake at 325 degrees for 12 minutes. Makes about 8 dozen 1 1/2 inch cookies. Prepare four cookie sheets.
