GRANOLA | |
4 c. quick oats 8 1/4 oz. unsalted dry roasted peanuts 1 c. Wheat Germ 8 oz. box dates, chopped or raisins 1 c. coconut 1/2 c. honey 1/3 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla extract Or sliced almonds or chopped pecans. Combine in large bowl the oats, wheat germ, dates, coconut and nuts. Heat honey, butter and vanilla extract to just below boiling. Pour over above mixture and mix thoroughly. Spread into a shallow broiler pan or jelly roll pan and roast 15 minutes at 300 degrees. Stir and roast 10 minutes more. Cool. Use as cold cereal or dry snack. |
