PEANUT BRITTLE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. Karo (light)
Pinch of salt

Bring to boil in a 10 or 12 inch cast iron skillet. Stir. Boil 5 minutes (best on medium burner). Add 2 cups raw peanuts or raw cashews. Bring to boil again for 10 minutes. Remove from fire. Add 2 teaspoons soda and stir. Pour into buttered 12 x 17 inch pan. Let cool. Turn over on wax paper. Break into pieces. You may use cooked or roasted nuts (wipe salt off), and add at very last of cooking time.
