WHIPPED SHORTBREAD COOKIES 
1/2 lb. butter
1/2 lb. butter
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. cornstarch
3 c. flour
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. almond extract

Beat butter and butter hard until it stands in tall peaks. Add powdered sugar, cornstarch, flour, vanilla and almond extract. Mix well. Roll into 1 inch balls.

Spray pans with Pam. Garnish with glazed cherry pieces and bake 10 minutes at 300 degrees. Remove from oven when they look set but not brown. Let stand 5 minutes before removing from pan. Makes 3 dozen.
