6 to 8 lg. apples, peeled and sliced
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. apple pie spice
1 box yellow cake mix
1 1/2 sticks butter

Place apples in bottom of 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle sugar and spice over apples. Evenly spread cake mix over apples. Slice 1 1/2 sticks of butter over cake mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into squares and serve warm. Can add Cool Whip garnish.
